Remarkable.

In wanting to make sense of something I was painfully experiencing, I opened my Handbook (I can show you how to make one. I find them extremely useful). There I read, “Resistance is the pain you don’t want.” At that moment I came face-to-face with the resistance. And then there was more…

Which is the point. When face-to-face with painful thoughts, imaginings, scenes-in-the-mind…there is more. Just the awareness of the resistance—changed it.

Once aware of it, there were more thoughts, imaginings, scenes-in-the-mind. As a matter of fact (empirically) the content within, that was known only to me, was endless. Until it wasn’t. And when it wasn’t, there was something more beyond the thinking I was aware of…

There was the experience of being outside of what there was an awareness of. That felt best. No pain there. Different from being entangled in resistant thinking, imaginings and scenes-in-the-mind. To know the distinction was knowledge ready to become wisdom.

I was reminded that the way is ever-revealing itself. Liberated for now from the resistance, it occurs to me that becoming fully human is remarkable.
